The Disciple Jesus Loved Most

The Disciple Jesus Loved – Verses from the Gospel of John

1. John 13:23 (NKJV)

"Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore motioned to him, that he should ask who it is of whom He spoke.”

2. John 19:25-27 (NKJV)

“Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother "Woman, behold your son!" Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his home.

3. John 21:20-21 (NKJV)

“Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?". Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"

4. John 24 (NKJV)

"This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true."

 The Gospel of Mary

18 Then Mary wept and said to Peter, "My brother Peter, what are you thinking? Do you really think that I thought this up by myself in my heart, or that I'm lying about the Savior?"

In response Levi said to Peter, "Peter, you've always been angry. Now I see you debating with this woman like the adversaries. But if the Savior made her worthy, who are you then to reject her? Surely the Savior knows her very well. That's why he loved her more than us.

"Rather we should be ashamed, clothe ourselves with perfect Humanity, acquire it for ourselves as he instructed us, and preach the gospel, not laying down any other rule or other law beyond what the Savior said."

The Gospel of Thomas – The Disciples Complaining About Mary

114 (1) Simon Peter said to them, "Mary should leave us, for females are not worthy of life."

(2) Jesus said, "Look, I shall guide her to make her male, so that she took may become a living spirit resembling you males. (3) For every female who makes herself male will enter Heaven's Kingdom."

It's amazing what you find when you read everything. Do I need to explain this? Who wrote John? Look who is whispering to Mary in the painting of the last supper!
